What Makes Sunlight Truly Unique
Unlike many Christian schools that primarily serve families already committed to the faith, Sunlight operates as a mission school. We warmly welcome families from all religious backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life. Our doors are open to everyone, and our clear mission is to introduce students and their families to Jesus while providing an excellent education.
Sunlight Christian Academy is a ministry of Sunlight Community Church. This partnership is not just functional — it is powerful and intentional. Pastors, staff, and church volunteers regularly engage with students through chapels, discipleship programs, and everyday relationships. Students experience the church as family, not just a separate institution.
We care for the complete child — body, mind, heart, and spirit. Sunlight students grow:
We don't just teach for a season — we invest for a lifetime. Students often stay with us from preschool through high school. This allows us to build deep, lasting relationships and provide consistent, year-after-year spiritual formation. Many of our graduates remain connected to the school and church for life.
From the moment a family walks through our doors, they are welcomed into the Sunlight family. Teachers, staff, pastors, and fellow parents invest personally in every child. Students experience genuine love, mentorship, and accountability that extends far beyond the classroom.

What began with just 24 students in 2006 has grown to over 730 students today. This rapid, healthy growth is a testimony to God's blessing and the effectiveness of our model. Families consistently share that Sunlight feels like home — a place where their children are truly known, loved, and discipled.
We weave church-developed discipleship tools (such as 222 Disciple and PROS — Public Reading of Scripture) directly into school life. Students don't just learn about faith — they practice it daily through prayer, Scripture engagement, service, and mentoring relationships with teachers and pastors.

As enrollment continues to grow rapidly, we are prayerfully preparing for the next chapter — including new facilities — so we can continue welcoming and discipling the next generation.
