How It Works
- Click link or scan QR to reserve your special day!
- Spray paint over the previous design beginning at 4pm the day BEFORE your special reserved day.
- Paint your message/design on the front and the sides of the rock. Please DO NOT paint the back of the rock.
- Surprise your child/take pictures the following morning & enjoy!
- Your rock will stay painted until 4pm or whenever the next painting covers it.
Proceeds go to support school events for our kids.

WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED IF I PAINT IT MYSELF?+
- For $75, our SCA artists supply & handle everything beginning to end. Your only job is to enjoy the moment with your child.
- For $25, you may do-it-yourself. Supplies & paint are not included.
Plan to use:
- 2-3 cans of spray paint for the base coat.
- Acrylic or latex paint for the design. (please note: latex paint takes longer to dry.)
- A tarp or garbage bag to protect the grass.
- Craft/foam paint brushes.
- Water/paper towels to clean brushes.
- Sidewalk chalk can be helpful to outline letters or designs before painting.
- Only paint the front and the sides of the rock. DO NOT paint the back of the rock.
WHAT DOES THE PAYMENT GO TOWARD?+
All proceeds benefit SCA and will be used to support students, special events, teachers, and staff.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD FOR THE DAY I RENT THE ROCK?+
- Our Artists are fully equipped to handle bad weather, so you don't have to!
- If you selected to paint-it-yourself, you may wish to bring a pop-up tent for shelter/shade from the elements while painting. Refunds will not be offered. Please remember: this is a fundraiser-not a business. 🙂
HOW LONG IS MY RENTAL FOR?+
Reserve the rock for the day you want your child to see it. Then, you -or the SCA Artist may begin painting at 4:00 pm the day BEFORE your reservation date.
Example: I want to paint a rock for my child's birthday, which is October 8th.
- Select October 8th as my reservation date.
- Show up at 4pm on October 7th and paint.
- My child enjoys their birthday rock until 4pm or whenever the next painting covers it.
ARE THERE RULES REGARDING WHAT CAN BE PUT ON THE ROCK?+
All rock messages/designs must be in line with SCA's standards and are subject to approval.
